Back then it all felt a little easier to swallow, do the job, get paid and go home. those Verified notice their life getting a LOT easier as money stopped becoming an issue, you dined in the finest eateries, you travelled in the fastest ships, you couldn't even step on a planet without people knowing your name. You were A-List celebrities now, and the public loved you! You were cameos in films, you were on magazine covers and you were taking your first steps into living the high life. All you had to do is turn a blind eye when Mr. Leach came along and he made everything ok again.
Those who weren't- well, you stopped getting invited to the same parties as your friends, your work slowed down and you were no longer the centre of attention anymore. Even the best and brightest of you were put aside for anyone with a shiny blue tick next to their name. Fame was fickle, and you could see it.
