War and Rebellion…
5 years ago Fortune, the galaxy’s largest corporate entity, specializing in bounty hunting, social media and hardware, launched the ‘Fortune Galaxy’ network, was the latest in combining biological, spiritual, and technical innovations that tapped directly into the minds of over 60% of the population through a ‘neural brain chip’. Whilst the masses unwittingly signed up to Fortune's passive mental manipulation, many resisted, boycotting and ejecting Fortune’s influences from their world, but not without the cost of Fortune waging corporate war against them. Their goal was peace, peace by war, by arresting the corrupt, decimating the criminal and uniting the galaxy under one vision, Fortune's vision.
Whilst the business giant spread its influences many pushed back, a resistance of planets and fleets that moved in the shadows with an army of bounty hunters and mercenaries set on dismantling Fortunes control. They were Remnant, and whilst Fortune’s strength was impressive they didn't have the mobility and speed to stop Remnant.
So whilst Fortune waged war against criminals, warlords and the corrupt, Remnant moved in secret, hitting hard and fast at the corporate giants' weak points in a story of war and rebellion.
This is a story of two sides…

Hello! And welcome to Fortune Galaxy: Resurgence’s first official event, Water & Sand.
In the past, FGR’s events have focused on a single group effort, but with the development of the story, this has changed! FGR’s events will now take place in two halves. The first will cover Remnant's side of the story, focusing on dungeon crawling missions designed to hit Fortune weak spots. After that, we cover Fortune's side of the story and their ongoing struggle to bring peace and prosperity to the galaxy in larger full war-torn conflicts, taking on Pirates, crime lords and Remnant collaborators...
These PVE events follow a narrative steered by player choice and interaction, and the possibilities of what you can do in these events are limitless! Though the story will follow a set objective, we encourage players to take the initiative and lead the story in whatever way they see fit. This can range from utilizing items found in the mission, or an entirely new plan. The galaxy’s your oyster kid!
We’ll be starting the first part of the event in Discord this weekend (Ideally!) with Remnant! Then carry that on with a Fortune!
Story Q&A!
Can we take/utilize items in the Events?
Yes you can! Items with mechanical benefit can be taken and utilized anywhere in the event, and can even play in future events. We do ask that this is first cleared with a mod if you are bringing these elements back and they are only used in events and not something to circumvent the shop (like health packs!)
Can we prepare and plan for the mission beforehand?
Of course! We can’t obviously spoil the story for you, but there will be a rough idea of what the next Event will be about following the epilogue, so people can plan and organize before it drops. NOTE: We do ask you are upfront and proactive in getting this idea to mods, just because we need to write the plot!
Can we 'derail' and change the objective of the mission?
Yes! Though we do ask that you be considerate of the group and involve everyone! Any major ‘off rails’ choice will come with a vote where the majority will decide on where to go next, but if there's a plan before the event we’re more than happy to work with members to make it happen!
I have a side arc I’d love to implement into the mission
We can definitely involve it somehow, though we ask that you PLEASE collaborate with admins first! This will help us incorporate it into the event.
