Suddenly, out of the blue without thought or warning, you hear a notable buzz coming from your phone, something unique and new that you’ve never heard but always hoped for. Pulling out your phone from your pocket and glance at the screen, you are greeted by a familiar blue smug-looking face, the single most recognisable logo in the known Galaxy, Fortune, the galactic bounty hunting network.

Since as far back as you can remember Fortune has always been around, the single largest private entity in the galaxy, bigger than most governments, fueled by the sponsorship of lesser super companies and the best and most influential social network in history. THIS Its where the new-aged celebrity is forged, where heroes are born, and now you’re ready to walk among them!

As your account activates your phone suddenly lights up with life as lists bounties in the hundreds fill your screen, organised, categorised and catered in a perfect little algorithm just for you. The days of having to meet down shady alleyways for a paying job are over. Managing paperwork? Collecting payment? Hiring lawyers to keep the law off your back? These are some of the many things of the past, all taken care of by Fortune, simply tap and everything you need on the bounty is there at your fingertips.

Taken by the sudden overload of information it pauses briefly as a pop-up fills the screen.

You scan the terms and conditions and you’re eyes are drawn to the $$$$$$ and killer bonus for being part of a sponsored team. All it takes is a thumbprint to decide.

Was this a mistake? What were you getting yourself into? Who where you sell yourself too? Who even reads the terms and conditions anyway! In the space of a minute, you’ve been welcomed into the warm welcoming arms of Fortune and been signed up to a sponsorship deal. That day your life changed forever, bounty hunting had never been so easy, with endless opportunity handed to you on a silver platter, and all you have to do is pull the trigger, slap on the handcuffs and save the day?

You take a second to figure out what it means before you suddenly remember that you’ve heard of this before, Bounty Hunter teams in Fortune pitted against each other and ranked in some sort of leaderboard system based on your performance and the bounties you drag in, Bounty Hunting turned into a sporting event.

Maybe you followed it or maybe you didn’t but these seasons were viewed across the galaxy and made prime time streaming TV, as every few years a season would start again and turn the galaxy on its head as Bounty Hunters work overtime. It uses to be a huge pain in the ass to get a job during this period before you joined Fortune, but now you were part of it ...

By the time the message ends you realise that your list of current bounties are locked and unobtainable, all bounties are off the table during the season-opening as you are forced into participation by the powers that be. At the top of your list instead, are three priority bounties, three crime lords of the most devious calibre, true scum-bags you bet Fortune saved for such a grand opening like this.

OBJECTIVES

[!!!NOTE!!!: As there are only a limited number bounties to collect it’s not canonical that everyone gets the same guy in the story! For example, in RPG’s you get to beat the big boss and save the world, but so do a million others playing the game too. Best not to worry about it]

▷ Draw your character taking down one of the three bounties above dead or alive! (Information provided in the bounty app!)

▷ In the description of your entry when you work out the REP count, state what character and what faction it is going towards.

▷ A bounty can only be taken ONCE per character (this applies to all future bounties!).

▷ Submit your work to the Event 'n' Bounty Art, preferably labelling the deviation ‘BOUNTY: [name of bounty]’

▷ Deadline: 01/05/2020 (5th of May 2020)

▷ +500 REP bonus per on-time submission (not included in the Bounty Bonus!). Can only be taken once!
